To make the most of your free introductory call with Work Permits Ireland, it helps to come prepared. While you don’t need to have everything perfect, having a few key details ready will help us assess your situation accurately and offer the best advice.
1. If You’re an Employee or Individual Applicant:
We recommend having the following ready (or at least an idea of them):
- A job offer from an Irish employer (or details of an offer in progress)
 - Your passport or national ID (even just knowing expiry dates is useful)
 - Your CV or employment history
 - Details of your qualifications or degrees
 - Any current immigration status (if you’re already in Ireland)
 - Your target start date for the job

Tip: If you’re not sure whether your job qualifies, just bring what you have — we’ll help figure it out.
2. If You’re an Employer:
Try to have the following available or noted:
- The job title and description for the role you’re hiring for
 - The salary you intend to offer
 - Whether you’ve hired non-EEA workers before
 - Your company registration number (CRO or RBN)
 - Your desired start date for the employee

This helps us determine if the role meets permit eligibility requirements, and whether a Labour Market Needs Test may apply.
3. If You’re a Spouse, Partner, or Family Member:
It helps to know:
- The name and permit type of the person you’re joining
 - Whether you’re already in Ireland or planning to relocate
 - Your relationship to the permit holder (married, de facto, dependent child, etc.)
 - Any current visa or residency permission you hold

4. General Questions You Might Want to Ask:
We’re happy to answer questions like:
- “Do I qualify for a Critical Skills or General permit?”
 - “Can my partner work too?”
 - “What happens if my application is refused?”
 - “How long will the process take?”
